This is a large site, primarily dedicated to three fine Southern California communities Ė Rancho Bernardo, North Poway, and Hidden Meadows.

Rancho Bernardo is an upscale urban community on the northern outskirts of San Diego, North Poway is a very upscale rural community on the western boundary of Rancho Bernardo. Hidden Meadows is a small and upscale custom home community north of Rancho Bernardo by 15 minutes that offers a much quieter setting Ė it has no stoplights.

Among the three communities there is probably a place that will satisfy almost every need. There are about 100 homes for sale among the three communities, and this website will answer almost every question someone out side of the area might have.

If you are interested in any particular home, please send me an e-mail to allen@allenhemphill.com and I will take digital photographs and have them back to you probably the same day.

Our son, Alan, is the Owner and Broker of Record of Dolphin Realty, and while Jean and I developed this website, he developed Dolphin Realty. He concentrates his efforts primarily on Rancho Bernardo and North Poway while Jean and I concentrate our efforts primarily on Hidden Meadows.

Jean, my wife, and I have lived in North Poway and Hidden Meadows for 30 years, and owned or managed several businesses in Rancho Bernardo over that time. I have been a real estate Broker for 26 years, and Jean has given up her separate license to assist me. We are a "boutique" team, handling few clients at a time and offering highly personalized service. We seldom list more than two homes at a time, and seldom represent more than two Buyers so that each client can have as much personal attention as is possible. Our offices of Dolphin Realty are right at the entrance to Hidden Meadows.

We have no "staff" so you can always get directly to us personally at the 760-749-2654 number...it rings in our home office then rolls over to my cell phone. We are easy to find, easy to talk with and we return calls and e-mail immediately if we donít immediately answer the phone. We NEVER let the phone ring unanswered without a GOOD reason involving another clients convenience...not our own. Jean and I are almost always together, so the number works for her also...we have been married 50 years and we are seldom more than 10 feet apart.

We are in a small community with only one other person in our office, Realtor Associate, Linda Shreve.

Portions of this huge site are constantly undergoing updating, but we welcome input as to what more needs to be addressed. It is written through our eyes, so there is little "canned" information on the website. Please send us you comments and or suggestions for improvement. I am the Webmaster because, after spending almost 30 years as a computer professional, being Webmaster is something I can easily do. I write the material because, after publishing more than 2,500 columns, it is, again, something I can easily do. But I need input as to what you find useful, or what else would also be useful.

Please look around the site...there are articles on Exchanging Homes, and articles on Hawaii in general and Kauai in particular because we spend months there each year through a Home Exchange. Some of my columns are here also, but mostly this site is about Rancho Bernardo, North Poway, and Hidden Meadows.

I am a Real Estate Broker affiliated with Dolphin Realty in Rancho Bernardo, and I am the Past President of The Meadows Homes Association and the Green Valley Civic Association of Poway.

My son. Alan, owns Dolphin Realty. My expertise is now Hidden Meadows, but we are a family operation and my son, Alan, lives in RB and runs the RB office. He is now the expert on RB and North Poway. He is not, however, a computer nerd, while I was Core Adjunct Prof. of Computer Science at the Graduate level of a private university for 14 years, so I get the assignment of designing and maintaining the website!

RB and North Poway are well served by local newspapers but Hidden Meadows is not. Simply e-mail me at allen@allenhemphill.com if you have any questions. Since Hidden Meadows is so small, it has only a monthly newspaper and my Blog and on-line newsletter is designed to be timely regarding Hidden Meadows events.

Rancho Bernardo and North Poway are areas are very familiar to our family -- I have owned or managed several businesses in Rancho Bernardo, and previously lived in North Poway for 22 years. Now, I live in Hidden Meadows, where I have served on many local committees, founded the local Foundation, and been the President of the Homeowners Association. Our son has owned Dolphin Realty for nearly a decade, and been a Broker in the RB area for longer than that. He grew up in Poway/RB, attended Poway Unified schools, and still lives in RB. Our family has the expertise to help you.
